These terms are the agreement between you and Mishrawarna for use of Champs' Chaps, ELMS, and Link on Demand. By creating an account, paying a fee, or using an ELMS or LOD session, you agree to these terms, to the Refund Policy, and to the Privacy Policy on this page.
“We”, “us”, and “Champs” mean Mishrawarna, operating Champs' Chaps from Colombo 03, Sri Lanka. “You” means the person or organisation that opens an account, buys ELMS or LOD, or uses a learning platform hosted on Champs. An ELMS operator is the educator or institute that runs an ELMS. A learner is a student or registrant inside that ELMS.
If you use the platform for an organisation, you confirm that you can bind that organisation.
1. The service
We provide software and related hosting that lets educators and institutes run an online learning operation, and lets a host run a paid online session. Champs is the account, wallet, and sign-in layer. ELMS (Electronic Learning Management System) is the branded learning platform an educator or institute runs. Link on Demand (LOD) is a paid meeting or webinar, used on its own or from inside an ELMS.
We do not employ the educators on an ELMS, we do not mark an institute's exams for academic credit, and we do not guarantee a learner's result. Course content, class prices, and the decision to admit a learner belong to the ELMS operator.
Digital Presence, a marketing website built for an ELMS, is quoted separately. It is not part of the service until it is offered at checkout or in a written quote.
2. Accounts
- You register with your name and a phone number you control. Sri Lankan numbers must pass the SMS code step.
- You keep the password confidential and you tell us promptly if you believe the account is being used without your permission.
- One phone number identifies one account. You will not share the account in a way that hides who is operating an ELMS.
- We may refuse, suspend, or close an account that was opened with false details, that is used for fraud, or that breaks these terms.
3. ELMS
- An ELMS is licensed for the plan you pay for. Explorer is for an individual educator and includes one trainer account, in the Essential, Pro, or Ultra option you select. Incubator and Accelerator are for institutions and include the educator seats stated on the plan. Additional seats are available only up to the plan limit and at the published seat price.
- You may connect Link on Demand, or a Zoom account you are allowed to connect, as the plan describes.
- You are responsible for the content you publish, for the prices you charge learners, for the refund promises you make to them, and for having a proper basis to hold learner information, including for learners under 18.
- You will not present the ELMS as owned or operated by Mishrawarna. You may use your own name and brand inside it.
- A custom domain is optional. You must control that domain and you must not point it at an ELMS in a way that misleads visitors about who runs the institute.
- We may archive an ELMS, make it temporarily unavailable, or delete it, as section 11 describes. Deleting an ELMS releases its domain. The same owner is not offered a fresh free trial on a later ELMS.
4. Link on Demand
- You may buy a session as a standalone LOD, or create a session inside an ELMS. You choose the name, time, duration, participant count, and session type.
- You must buy a plan whose participant limit covers the session. Scalar Link is up to 100, Vector Link up to 300, Giant Link up to 500, and Premium Link up to 1,000. Premium Link is offered for meetings. Webinar rates are published for Scalar, Vector, and Giant.
- A secure session may mute attendees by default and uses Champs access controls. A non-secure session allows attendees to use microphone and camera unless the host mutes them. You will not describe a non-secure session as a secure one.
- You will not publish a way for people outside the intended audience to reuse a protected link or a recording. Recording links are issued for the person who is allowed to watch, and they are not for forwarding.
- You are responsible for the session content and for telling participants if the session is recorded.
5. Acceptable use
You will not, and you will not allow a learner or attendee to:
- Break Sri Lankan law, including law on fraud, harassment, and the misuse of personal information.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful.
- Bypass a payment, a capacity limit, a watermark, or an access check, or share a one-time recording link as a public download.
- Probe, disrupt, or overload the platform, or attempt to reach another ELMS or another customer's data.
- Use the service to send unsolicited bulk messages. Operational SMS to your own enrolled learners, through the tools we provide, is allowed.
- Misrepresent a qualification, a government approval, or an affiliation with Mishrawarna or Champs' Chaps.
6. Your content and our platform
You keep ownership of the courses, files, recordings you create, and brands you upload. You give us a licence to host, display, back up, and transmit that material only so we can provide the service, including to the learners and attendees you authorise, and to apply a watermark to a recording view.
We own the Champs' Chaps platform, the ELMS software, the LOD flow, our name and logo, and the way the service is built. These terms do not sell you that intellectual property. You receive a right to use the service for your own education or training business while you comply with these terms and your fees are paid.
7. Fees
Fees are in Sri Lankan rupees and are the fees shown at checkout, which will match the published list unless a written quote says otherwise. You authorise us and our payment providers to charge the method you choose: card or online gateway, bank transfer with a slip, JustPay, or wallet balance. Taxes that the law requires us to add will be shown. You are responsible for your own income tax on earnings you receive from learners.
If a payment fails, access that depends on that payment is not granted. If an ELMS subscription is not renewed, the ELMS moves to the unpaid state the product applies, which may include expiry of the package. LOD is paid per session and does not renew by itself.
8. Learner checkout and payouts
Learner checkout inside an ELMS can be an online payment, a bank transfer with an uploaded slip, JustPay using a Sri Lankan bank account and a phone code, or a wallet balance that covers the fee. The operator confirms a bank slip before access is completed, except where the product completes an online payment automatically.
Earnings that are due to an operator can be requested as a payout to the registered bank account. We may pause a payout while we verify the bank details, a disputed learner payment, or a suspected breach of these terms. We may deduct platform charges that the operator has agreed, and we may set off a refund we had to return to a learner or to a payment provider.
9. Third-party services
Live sessions run through Zoom. Payments run through banks and payment gateways, including JustPay by LankaPay. SMS runs through an SMS provider. File delivery and the bot check use Cloudflare. Those services have their own terms and availability. A failure that originates in a third-party service is handled under the Refund Policy where that policy promises a credit or refund, and otherwise is outside our control. You will comply with Zoom's rules when you use a session.
10. Availability
We work to keep the platform available, and we will schedule maintenance in a way that limits disruption where we reasonably can. We do not promise uninterrupted service. Features that the public site describes as coming later, including a published price for Digital Presence, are not part of the service until they are offered at checkout or in a written quote.
11. Suspension, archive, and deletion
- We may suspend access if fees are unpaid, if we reasonably suspect fraud or a breach of these terms, or if we must do so to protect other customers or the platform.
- We may archive an ELMS that is no longer active, or make it temporarily unavailable. An archived or unavailable ELMS can be restored while it still exists.
- We may delete an ELMS that you ask us to delete, or that these terms allow us to close. Deletion releases the domain. It does not erase billing records we must keep.
- Where we can do so without adding to the harm, we will tell the account phone number before a suspension or deletion that is not caused by fraud or by an urgent security risk.
12. Liability
The platform is provided as a tool for your education or training business. To the extent Sri Lankan law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost enrolments, or lost class time arising from your content, your pricing, a learner dispute that is not caused by a platform payment error, or a third-party outage beyond the refund described in the Refund Policy.
Where we are liable, and the law allows a limit, our total liability arising out of the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid to us for ELMS subscriptions and LOD in that period. This limit does not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You will cover us against a claim brought by a learner, attendee, or third party that arises from your content, your refund promise to a learner, or your lack of rights in material you uploaded, except to the extent the claim is caused by our failure to run the platform as these terms describe.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. The courts of Colombo have jurisdiction. Before either of us files a claim, we will both try to resolve the dispute by contacting the other, and we will allow 14 days for a response, unless urgent court relief is needed to prevent a continuing harm.
14. Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. The current version will show its date. If a change materially reduces your rights or increases your fees for a period you have already paid, it will not apply to that paid period. Continued use after the new date, or a new purchase, is acceptance of the updated terms.

Refund Policy
Which payment this covers
Money moves through Champs in three ways, and a refund depends on which one you paid for. The price shown at the time you pay is the price that applies.
The three payments are: an ELMS subscription, paid by an educator or institute to Champs; a Link on Demand session, paid by the person who creates the session; and a learner payment inside an ELMS, such as a course fee, class fee, or tute order, collected for that ELMS operator.
ELMS subscription fees
Explorer, Incubator, and Accelerator are prepaid access to an ELMS for the period you buy. Extra educator seats are billed at the rate printed on the plan.
- If we have not yet activated the ELMS, you may cancel and we will refund the subscription fee you paid for that activation.
- Once the ELMS is activated, the fee for the current paid period is not refunded. You keep access until that period ends. You may choose not to renew.
- A fee for an extra educator seat follows the same period. A seat already added for the current period is not refunded when the seat is later removed.
- Where a free trial is offered, the trial itself has no fee. Closing an ELMS ends that trial. Opening another ELMS later does not start a new free trial for the same owner.
- If a platform fault on our side makes the ELMS unusable for a material part of a period you already paid for, we will credit the unused portion to your Champs wallet or refund it.
Link on Demand fees
LOD is charged for the session you configure: capacity, meeting or webinar, and the option you select (non-secure, secure, or with payment collection), by the hour.
- If you cancel before the scheduled start, and the session was not started, we will return the LOD fee to your Champs wallet. If the original payment can still be reversed in full, you may ask for that instead.
- Once the session has started, or participants have joined, that session fee is not refunded.
- A participant who does not attend is not a reason for a refund.
- If the session does not start because of a fault in Champs or in the integrated meeting service, and we cannot deliver a replacement at the same scale, we will refund or credit the full fee for that session.
Learner payments inside an ELMS
A course fee, class fee, or tute order is a payment to the educator or institute that operates the ELMS. Champs provides the checkout, the wallet, the bank-slip review, and the payout. We do not set the learner's price.
- The ELMS operator decides whether a learner's fee is refunded, except for a duplicate charge or a payment that never granted access because of a platform error.
- When an authorised operator approves a reversal, the platform can return the amount to the learner wallet, remove the linked enrolment, and reverse a verified bank payment.
- On a payment that used both wallet balance and a bank or card payment, the operator chooses whether the wallet portion is returned.
- A bank transfer is complete only after the slip is accepted. A rejected slip is not a completed payment.
Wallet, duplicates, and how to ask
A refund may be issued as wallet credit. Wallet credit is not cash. An operator's earnings are paid out only through a payout request to the registered bank account. A payout of earnings is not a refund of a platform fee.
A duplicate charge, a payment that never resulted in the ELMS, LOD session, or enrolment because of a platform error, and a charge taken after you had already cancelled under this policy, are refunded.
- Contact us on WhatsApp or by phone at +94 76 326 9663.
- Include the account phone number, what was bought, the amount, the date, and any payment reference.
- We aim to give a decision within 7 business days.
- An approved refund is returned to the original method where that method still allows it, and otherwise to the Champs wallet.
Privacy Policy
Who this applies to
This policy applies to champschaps.com, to every ELMS hosted on Champs, and to Link on Demand.
We are responsible for account, billing, security, and platform records. The ELMS operator is responsible for the courses, learner fees, messages, and learner records inside the ELMS they run. We process those records so the ELMS can function. A learner who wants a copy or correction of a course record should ask that ELMS operator first.
Information we collect
- Account: first name, last name, display name, phone number, a protected password hash, a one-time SMS code for Sri Lankan numbers, a Cloudflare Turnstile check, and an encrypted sign-in cookie.
- ELMS: name, domain, package, educator seats, learner name and phone number, enrolment, payments, attendance, notes, exam answers, assignment files, and documents.
- LOD and recordings: session details, join activity, cloud recordings when the host records, a moving watermark of the viewer's name and phone number, and a fresh one-time link each time a protected recording is opened.
- Payments: amount, method, status, wallet ledger, uploaded bank slips, the JustPay payment result, and bank details an operator registers for a payout. Card details stay with the payment gateway.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, the domain used, security events, and files stored at cdn.champschaps.com. The public site may record that a sign-up happened.
Why we use it and who receives it
We use this information to run the account, ELMS, and LOD, to take payment and pay operators, to apply watermarks and access checks, to send operational SMS, and to investigate misuse. We do not sell personal information.
- The ELMS operator sees the learners, payments, and class activity inside the ELMS they run.
- Zoom receives what is required to create the session and, when recording is on, to store the cloud recording.
- Payment providers, including JustPay / LankaPay and the relevant bank, receive what is required to take or confirm a payment.
- Our SMS provider receives the phone number and the text of an operational message.
- Cloudflare stores uploaded files and provides the Turnstile check.
- Some of these providers process information outside Sri Lanka so they can deliver the service.
How long we keep it, and your requests
- Account details are kept while the account is open, and for a limited time afterwards so we can resolve a dispute.
- Payment, wallet, and payout records are kept for as long as Sri Lankan tax and accounting rules require.
- You may ask what account and billing information we hold, ask for a correction, or ask us to close the account. Where Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022 gives you a further right, you may exercise it by contacting us.
- The person who opens a Champs account must be able to enter these terms. An institute may enrol learners under 18 where it has authority to do so. We use the learner's name and phone number for access, operational messages, and the recording watermark.
